Friendly service and very tasty German cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. We had the house pot, the fire pot and our son the fish fingers. We all enjoyed it very much and we can only recommend this restaurant! I would like to highlight the very nice and child-friendly landlady again! We'd love to come back on our next vacation!

Yesterday I visited the old German court with my girlfriend. We had schnitzel "hunter style" So, the food was delicious, the beer was cold and drinkable, the service attentive and friendly. What more do you want. We were lucky to get the last free table because the restaurant was fully booked. Forgot to reserve. We can unreservedly recommend the restaurant. But we would have been happy to have salt and pepper shakers on the table. But it's not so tragic, too much salt is not healthy anyway. 😉

Comment to the owner: Unfortunately, the food was not good to our taste. I'm not going to talk about peas and carrots either. But leftover pieces of a cucumber and pieces of tomato ovary do not belong in the salad. Tourists are treated differently in your establishment. Tip for your service: seminar dealing with people. When entering the restaurant it smelled of cold smoke and overall a bit musty. The schnitzel was good, but the sauce and vegetables were ready-made products (sachet sauce and canned vegetables - peas and carrots) Unfortunately not very tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive. It's a shame to see that the owner prefers to give stupid comments instead of taking a review seriously and reacting sensibly! But that's probably normal for the owner when you see older comments.

We ate very well there! Schnitzel dishes and cordon bleu were great and handmade. Very tasty salad, served by a cheerful landlady. Reservation is recommended! Greetings from Bochum!

I am the husband of Mrs. Schade-Gail and I fully and completely agree with my wife and stand behind this statement. I think it's a cheek how people talk about me here and what I'm accused of. I was not embarrassed and the innkeeper does not seem to be in any way critical. The food was simply not good. And the jokes with the names, which I have had to read here quite often now, lack humor on everyone's level.

Unfortunately, one star is still too many. I give it for the really nice atmosphere. Now to the other horror tale that happened to me: For one thing, the food was totally spicy. The crab soup was spicy, some will like it, it's not my thing. My husband's Hungarian goulash soup was adulterated with cream, consisted almost entirely of mushrooms, and the three pieces of meat were so precisely square and Maggi-like that they could have been tinned. On the other hand, the operation was a moderate catastrophe. Something of incompetent and rude. Quite apart from the fact that my husband and I like to go out to eat and have already tried a lot, the answer to a bit of criticism was "It has to be tasty, we don't serve hospital food, we've been doing it for 35 years ..." - good ... Then it will stay bad for another 35 years. Everything is far too salty or spicy, salad floats in cream and the food in fat. Sorry, for us the first and last time at the Altdeutscher Hof ...

First of all, the service was very unfriendly, we were only offered a seat in the farthest corner. For my very sick and disabled wife ... as well as for my mother who is very poor on foot, this was understandably an imposition. When we finally got our drinks, we had to find out that they were written down the wrong way ... we continued with the over-salty and much too spicy food for my mother (I tried it myself and I'm used to spicy food) When asked whether you could get the food in a non-spicy version, we were only told "other guests would have liked it, they would not have complained" All in all not recommended ...

We have been guests in the old German court very often, including on this holiday. The food is excellent and the crab soup is the best from Jever to Cuxhaven. This restaurant is highly recommended for its flair, atmosphere, drinks and food. We love coming here and look forward to the next time.

Fish and meat dishes hearty and tasty. Frisian cordiality prevails in the family-run Altdeutschem Hof. The lady of the house has the service under control and the man of the house takes care of the physical well-being of the guests. Only four out of five stars (between good and excellent) because the furniture is getting on in years and makes up part of the ambience. Those who are hungry and want to dine in peace should not miss this hospitality.

As always, the food was very good. Boss super friendly. We'd love to come back.

The shop was the biggest waste, the food was far too small portions and generally didn't taste good at all. I would not recommend the shop to anyone, service was unfriendly up to Istanbul Beer here Beer here or we'll fall over
